Sometimes Android fans are left out in the cold by many tech companies that choose to drop an iOS-compatble product before their Android counterpart. With so many more Android models available these days, you’d think it was a no brainer to drop both at the same time. IK Multimedia was such a company that dropped its iRig series of mobile recording things for iOS devices before its Android version. Now they’ve finally release their iRig HD-A especially for Android devices and here’s the 411 on the new product:

Plug-and-Play Setup For Guitarists

Just like the iOS devices this new Android version is a plug-and play accessory made to be a guitar’s best friend. Just plug that axe into a mobile devoice to track riffs while out and about and on the go. Use it with IK Multimedia’s AmpliTube amplifier and effects simulator app to play around with cool and virtual riffs that you’ve been hearing in your mind. It features a 24-bit 48kHz analog to digital converter and can easily work with your computer via USB for when you’re at the studio or home and want to work on your laptop. A guitarist can also use other models in the iRig line with the new HD-A to create some amazing tracks that have amazing sound.

One Caveat

This all sounds great, right?! Well, there’s one little caveat to this awesomeness…the HD-A only works with devices that have Samsung Professional Audio, so that means that those with the Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy Note Edge can take advantage of using the portable musical tool. But don’t fret yet since the company did mention that others like the Galaxy S5 and Note 3 are on their way. But that AmpliTube is a plug-in for Samsung’s SoundCamp app so you can easily start recording your tunes using whatever setup you have.

It’ll be available for $100 when it comes out, while the AmpliTube is $19.99.
